Google Hangouts Has Officially Been Given an Expiration Date
Google Hangouts, the company's most popular chat program to date, is finally being phased out. A recent blog post from the firm officially provides a closure date for consumer Google Hangouts: November 2022. Today is also the day when current Google Hangouts users will be nagged to migrate to Google Chat, the company's new messaging application. Hangouts garnered 5 billion downloads as Android's default messaging service, and at one time, it also handled Android SMS chores, similar to Apple's iMessage.
